This is what happens when I get conned into playing WoW again:

Rantel: "I just think Blizzard should have made mounts more class specific. Like hunters could tame and ride them. And druids could have a stag."
Indy: "Or they could just be their own mounts."
Kyrre: "What would a rogue's mount be?"

*pause*

Indy: "An enormous douche."
Rantel: "LMAO."
Kyrre: "Yeah, I hate rogues, too. Better yet, just make it a giant dildo. That way they can ride around and really fuck everyone in the ass."
Indy: "Incoming!"
Rantel: "Swift Black Dildo: This is a very fast mount."
Indy: "The riding trinket could be "Batteries: Increases your mount speed by 3%."

HUMOR: I just one-upped Rantel's Dwarfjump attempt...

The bad news is that I can successfully recreate the Belf female dance. The good news is that it makes me ridiculously dizzy, so you are not likely to see it in the near future.

HUMOR: Blood Elf Insight

Sarah is playing a blood-elf rogue right now, so I've been watching her a lot. And today it occured to me that every time I see a blood elf, I end up getting Meridith Brooks'Bitch stuck in my head. It's just the way the females do their hips.

No wonder I hate Blood Elves.

HUMOR (sort-of): Rehabilitation

Some of you may know that I am now in London for four months, and am consequently deprived of WoW. I have Internet access at my host house, but not for my laptop, so I can't play games that require the Internet. We have wireless at school, but would it really be worth it to keep my account active? My addiction says yes, but my brain says no. I must fight this sickness with reason!

Because of my addiction, I cling to everyone who knows anything about WoW. I've gotten a lot of crap about it from other gamers so far. Is it so wrong to love my Draenei, or pine for the chance to hit level 64?! It pains me.

I worry what this period of rehab will do to me. Will I realize once more that I don't need WoW to fulfill my life and stop playing when I get home? Will all of my friends surpass me and be so jaded with the expansion by the time I get back that no one will play with me! Oh, the Unknown, it haunts me!

Good compatriots, give me strength to endure!

HUMOR: If I Saw This In Game, I'd /camp Immediately

That is something that works the night shift in a diner. And yes, I am fully responsible for its existence. And now you know why we never see any of the females of the species.

HUMOR: Don't Think This Makes Up For the Felhound Quest, Blizzard

I think I've already established that most of the minions drive me batty:

"I think it's time we should see other Warlocks. Just occasionally, you know, Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Sundays! It's not you! It's not you, it's me!"

"Don't touch what you can't afford!"

"Look at me! Oooh, I'm not touching you! You can't get me! I'm not touching you!"

After listening to that every time you tell your pet to attack, brains begin to melt out ears. The ooze left behind begins to wonder numbly if being a mage would really be all that bad.

Then there's the voidwalker. Quiet, baritone, and according to shapeshifting curses, female. Go figure. All she says is "I don't like this place," "I must feed," and occasionally "as you wish." (Which makes me squee. Who else has a voidwalker that loves them that deeply?)

All of that was compounded the other day, however, when I ordered her to heal herself. She raises her arms into the air and begins consuming shadows, and (as usual) says "I...am...void..."

Which is nothing new. After all, she really is void. However, the quiet "where prohibited!" she tacked onto the end caught me off guard and made me die of laughter. I was useless for the rest of the quest.

HUMOR: Warning! Professional on Closed Course: Do Not Attempt!

Isra was pointing out last night how she thought her Dwarf Hunter alt's arms were too long because they looked weird when she jumped. I, being in a good mood, attempted to prove her wrong by recreating the Dwarf jump. The first time I did so, I hit my hand on a water bottle. The second time, on Isra's chair (now I have a nicely bruised finger). Maybe it's my arms that are too long. Next time I'll stick to recreating Night Elf jumps, as soon as I can figure out the flip they do.

HUMOR: Tribute to Captain Placeholder

Isra has brought to my attention a lovely ->tribute page to Captain Placeholder<- containing a picture of said hero and a beautiful tribute song. She says she's going to put it as one of my links and has requested that I explain the story of dear Captain Placeholder, as he was before many of your times.

There was an extended period several months after the birth of the retail version of World of Warcraft wherein there was no boat between Menethil and Darkshore. There were docks, but the boat was non-existent. It never came. As a quick and supposedly temporary fix for this buggy boat the good people at Blizzard decided to allow teleportation between the docks in Menethil and Darkshore while they worked on solving the problem. This teleporation was achieved by speaking to an NPC either on the Auberdine dock or the Menethil dock. The one on the Menethil side was faithful Captain Placeholder. Simply a word to him and you'd find yourself instantly on the pier in Darkshore, ready to quest on.

Weeks went by and the boat had still not been fixed. Captain Placeholder and his Darkshore counterpart soon became integrated members of Azerothian society and the convenient jump between Menethil and Auberdine became the norm. Several months it seems like went by in this fashion. Faithful Captain Placeholder was always there for you, ready to cheerfully greet you and send you on your way. But one day a fateful patch was implemented, finally fixing the boat we had all but forgotten about, and our friends Captain Placeholder and the Darkshore teleporter had vanished without so much as a by-your-leave.

Where are you now, stalwart captain? Keeping watch on some lonely dock on some forgotten shore where no boats care to stray, helping lost travelers get home? I hope to meet with thee again someday.

Isra: Still confused? ->Wikipedia is your friend!<- Link leads to a site where you can download the lament. Sing along.

HUMOR: Incriminating Evidence

This screenshot involves a guildie of mine named Detnuh, who is a really good hunter. At the time this was taken, he was level 52.

Here is the back story: When Detnuh first joined he was on a lot. So, I noticed it rather quickly when he wasn't on for over a week. No one in the guild really knew where he'd gone, so we all just kinda dropped it and hoped he'd come back.

One day I'm walking through the tunnel from Moonglade to Feralas (yay for having firbolg faction), and I stumble across Detnuh. Or, rather, Detnuh's corpse, sprawled out on the cold stone floor...clad only in our guild tabard.

So, as I told the guild, at least we know what happened to him.

He did come back, and told me later that he didn't expect so many people to see his body there. He must have gotten a lot of tells about it; evidently I wasn't the only one who found it oddly fitting that he disappeared while his char was dead.
