Saren and I were killing centaurs in Desolace when I notice a lvl 37 Horde shammy. And by "notice", I mean I saw him run up, kill my mob, and begin to advance on me (right. killing my enemy for me before attacking me somehow makes it okay to fight someone four levels lower with half health and half mana.) I quickly invite Saren to party so we can PVP more effectively, and we both run to stand close to each other. The shammy notices I have someone with me, thinks better of it, waves, and runs off. Saren and I decide there's safety in numbers and stay grouped.
A few minutes go by, and I see the shammy again, running back down the road. He's at half health and being chased by a lvl 41 priest. The priest is losing ground, so I change into travel form and tear off after the shammy. When I'm in range, I cast a few instant spells, and he drops. I laugh, since I'd just done to him what he was planning on doing to me earlier (and I think laughing is slightly less evil than spitting on their corpses.)
I run back to Saren and we continue questing. A few minutes later, the shammy, who has rezzed, unstealths and gets me in the back. I spin around and root him, then step back to heal myself and kill his totem. Roomie sees what's going on, goes "ACK!," and runs up to help me fight. He untangles, ignores her completely, and starts running in circles around me while hitting me, trying to make my spells fail (how do they DO THAT?!). Roomie chases after him, and I change to instant spells to make sure I'll keep hitting him.
So the shammy drops again, but he almost took me with him-- I had twenty HP when he went down. It was pretty obvious he didn't care if he died as long as he got me first. And I really couldn't blame him for wanting revenge, since I would have gone after my attacker, too. Plus, I laughed at him, so I would have deserved it if I'd gone down. He definitely made a point. >.<
But I don't blame myself for feeling really smug about the whole thing, either.
I figure at this point he's pretty pissed and might want another go, so I make sure to keep my health and mana high and his corpse in sight while questing. A few minutes go by, and I'm beginning to think he has camped, when I see him get up, run a short distance, then turn around and stare at us.
I don't really want to fight again, plus I'm pretty damn impressed with how close he got to killing me last time around (fucking circle thing....HOW do they do that?), so I bow to him. Saren does the same. He stands there for a sec, then turns and runs off.
